This playlist features many of the eclectic pieces I have composed for film and video over the years. Some were made for small budget short films and docs, some for online brand videos or internal corporate series for tech giants, some were made for high end broadcast TV commercials, and some were just made for funsies. Here’s some homemade electro-pop music I made under the moniker PENTECOSTALS. Mostly a recording project, though I did one small West Coast tour in 2015 and performed these songs as a one man machine band. Sold out of all the cassettes I made, so I consider that a victory.

BLAMMOS was the first band that I started when I moved to the SF Bay Area. Basically an outlet for whatever kinda kooky song I wanted to write, we evolved from a genre-roulette alt-pop band (think: TMBG) to a more streamlined retro power-pop vibe (Elvis Costello, The Beatles). We have released two albums, made dozens of music videos, and toured all over the country. Although we are mostly dormant these days, there is a fully finished 3rd and final album that is going to come out some day. I SWEAR!

These jokers. I produced this album with them, and occasionally tour as their fifth Beatle. Plus I’ve made a few hilariously awful music videos for them. They’re ridiculously talented, and seriously the most fun band on the planet.

Spurs make beautiful alternative folk music and I’m lucky that was able to produce and perform on their debut album. Singer-songwriter David Stockhausen is a longtime friend and collaborator, and was the drummer in my first ever band 20+ years ago.

For 5 years I lived in the illustrious and sorta famous music house, Strange Manor. Every fall we would get together as a house and record a Christmas album full of our takes on famous holiday classic, obscure yuletide bangers, and seasonal parodies of popular songs. There are ten albums in total, but I produced, engineered and performed on volumes 6 - 10 from 2012 - 2015. If you’re sick of the same old holiday drivel, give these bad boys a spin!
I have been spinning vinyl records on the radio and in clubs off and on for almost 25 years. These playlists represent a DJ residency called LISTEN TO THIS! that I started in 2019 where I would spin a completely different genre (or genres) of music every month. Coming in at 3 hours+, these playlist are the perfect soundtrack for your house party, clambake, or sock hop.
